  Abdinasir Abdikadir (b. 1997), known professionally as 4C, is a Mogadishu-based contemporary artist whose multidisciplinary practice challenges conventions and reimagines narratives. Working across painting, sculpture, murals, and conceptual installations, 4C interrogates themes of culture, identity, environment, and coexistence, crafting works that resonate with universal relevance and emotional depth.

  4C’s work is characterized by a commitment to experimentation and a refusal to be confined by traditional forms. From large-scale public murals that transform urban landscapes to deeply conceptual pieces, his practice bridges the personal and the collective. Recent projects, such as "Earth, Water, Fire, Air" (2023), examine the elemental forces that shape human existence, offering a meditative inquiry into their interconnectedness and their impact on physical and emotional landscapes. His work invites critical reflection while fostering a sense of shared experience.

  Beyond his artistic output, 4C is a dedicated educator and mentor. For years, he has worked to cultivate emerging talent and empower communities through the arts. By fostering dialogue and collaboration, he positions art as a driving force for societal progress and cultural integration. His belief in the transformative power of creativity has informed numerous public art initiatives and mentorship programs, leaving a lasting imprint on artistic landscapes.
